Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a great weekend!!! Well last night was quite a productive one, that is once the kids settled down and allowed me to help the hubby outside. The WHOLE roof is now off, we were able to clean up alot of the debris on the ground around the garage and we started working on tearing apart the sides that fells down in whole sections. They seem to be much easier to tear apart when there on the ground versus being attached to the cinderblock base. Tomorrow morning we hope to work on it for aobut 2-3 hours and then head on down to Delaware for a "Family Reunion" with the hubby side of the family. Should be fun and the kids should have a blast since there is a pool there. Sunday will be spent "trying" to get the cinderblock sides down, so that next week can be spent throwing it away and making any trips to the dump that *might* have to be made. I think the fence will definitely have to wait until we get back from vacation, but that shouldn't take long to do. The final step will be some MAJOR landscaping to the back yard. That's when I'll get to have some REAL fun :-) Only a week to go now. I'm so darn excited. I got my box of Disney logo shirts in the mail yesterday, bad part is the x-small I ordered Aidan is WAY TOO BIG. I assumed that an x-small was a 2-3 and I knew it would be BIG, but not as BIG as it is. My Mom is going to try and possibly make him a romper out of it since it's that BIG. Actually all the kids shirts are BIG, but with the other kids it's not as big of a deal since theirs can be tucked in. I'm currently sitting around the house waiting for the cable guy to come a run a new cablespeed line up to our room since the we're moving the big computer desk up there laster tonight and giving the girls my computer out of the dining room. After everything is done outside our next room to remodel is the dining room. We're planning on putting wainscoating along the bottom with a nice chair rail, then wallpaper the top and do some crownmolding up. I'm thinking the colors will be burgundy, sage green and gold. I saw this really nice wallpaper and since Steve wants the room to have a semi-formal look, so the colors in the wallpaper would be a good choice. Once the room is done, then I'll go look at a NEW dining room set. The set we have now (we've had it for 9 years) was my Mom's (for about 8 years) and before that it was her friends parents - so it's atleast 40+ years old. It's in great shape though. Well the chairs all gave way a few years ago and we just donated the table to Goodwill, but the Hutch and Buffet still have many years of life left in them. Well I gotta scoot the kids are outside front playing I must go make sure everything is ok. Have a GREAT weekend everyone!!!! 1:12 pm - 06/24/2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
