Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing too fun going on... Nothing too interesting going on around here. Yesterday I finished up my first week of daycare and everything went really well. It's like the perfect job because the hours are only from 1:30-5:30pm which still gives me MY morning to get errands run once school starts back in about 3 weeks - wahoo!!!! I would so LOVE year around schools for the kids. The idea of being off for 3 weeks every 9 weeks seems like a much better deal, plus the kids don't seem like they would get bored as quick as they do now. My kids want to be going non-stop and when Mom can't do that they immediately become bored and complain non-stop. Their starting to drive me crazy!!! The YARD, that besides our trip to Disney is what we'll remember about this summer. It seems that the YARD is taking up every ounce of free time we have. Yesterday Steve rented a jackhammer and the concrete slab and our sidewalk in the back yard are now almost all rumble, which means that trips to get fill dirt are in our future. That's a good thing because that means we will most likely have a back yard with grass by Taylor's birthday in October. Just a few months ago I thought that this project would NEVER get done, but with ALOT of hard work and time it should be done by the time the kids go back to school at the end of this month. We have so many home improvement projects going on right now. The roof just got replaced on Wednesday & Thursday, the basement will be fixed (fireplace needs to be wrapped) at the end of the month and hopefully sometime in the next week or so we'll get the back room finished. That room when finished will be Steve's POKER room equipped with a TV/DVD with surround sound and a small fridge. Then once the basement is finished (and NO longger leaks around the fireplace) we're going to re-finish it. Currently it's paneled and Steve wants to have it studded and drywalled, which should be a fun job for him and his friends to do. Onto a fun subject - Aidan. He's doing so much better with the month of therapy he's had. He's now all over the place and pulling up on alot of things. He's still having issues with want to self-feed himself, but I think that will come with alot of practice. He's also the KING of the HANDSTAND. Once I download some pics I'll post one of my little acrobat. He's so funny to watch. He's even been much more vocal. Still NO real words, but when he wants something he defintely lets you know. The others are also doing well. Soccer started back up last month for Courtney and then on Thursday for Dylan. Steve's coaching his team. It should be an interesting season. It's going to be way more relaxed than last years was for me. I was totally exhausted when the season ended last year. Well the hubby is back, so I better get my butt moving. Later... 10:05 am - 08/06/2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
