Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kids appointments & new furniture coming... So it was back to the doctor's today with Taylor and Aidan. They both had neuro appointments over at Walter Reed with the same doctor. When we got there we were informed that they mis-scheduled the appointment, but since we couldn't really come back since Steve did take off all week just so that we could get ALL of these appointments out of the way. They took us back around 1:15pm and they weren't finished with us until 2:45pm. Taylor is responding EXCELLENT to her meds since they were upped 3 weeks ago and Aidan on the other hand isn't handling things very well. They decided to add a 3rd dose into his routine and we'll give it ago fpr a few weeks and if that don't work then we're going to start the Ketogenic Diet with him. It's going to be an exhausting process, but I'm going to give it a try since it's the least medically harmful of all the options. It's funny that the doctor suggested it since I was just getting ready to ask about it since I did about 4 hours of research last night about infantile spasms and it talked alot about the diet. Heck, it might even help me shed a few pounds since there's no way I want Aidan to feel like he's going through this whole process all alone. We've decided that we won't start the diet until after the 1st of the year that way Aidan can enjoy the holidays (for the most part) since the diet is very restrictive. Tomorrow we're having our NEW furniture delivered - the girls are getting NEW loft bunk beds with built in bookcase, desk and dresser and we're getting a new dining room table. Tonight my Mom kept the kids while we went out to dinner and then we did a little shopping. We found a picture for the dining room along with some new placemats, napkins and napkin rings. We also got Taylor a couple outfits for Christmas. Now I'n off to clean-up the dinner dishes, get Taylor and Aidan in bed and then I'm hitting the sack for what's hopefully a straight night's sleep.
