Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soccer drama.... Why does there have to be so much drama in kids sports??? The soccer team C's been playing on just hit the ONE year mark of the girls being together, so you would think all the drama would be over with by now -WRONG!!! The girls all get along for the most part really well, remember they are 8 1/2-10 years old. It seems that after a year some of the girls just weren't clicking well with the team or should I say with the pressures of playing in a U10 bracket, so they were let go. The one girl C was really upset to see go since she was one of good friends, the other had only been with the team for 2 months and the 3rd one liked to stir trouble whenever possible. It just seemed to be her personality. It's her parents that deicded that they would act very immature and start saying stuff about other players and about how the coaches coached. They decided that they wanted it to be know that THEIR daughter shouldn't of been one of the girls that was cut and that MY daughter should of been. His reasoning was because C was the 2nd youngest on the team and since the youngest was cut C should of been next in line. It doesn't matter that C is way more of team player than his daughter was or the fact that C has been improving greatly over this last year (hence her getting the Most Improved Player Award at this weekends Pizza/Trophy party - shhhh... she doesn't know). I never heard any of this until the coaches called me to let me know that I should only listen to what THEY say and to ignore everything else. It's so sad that team sports for kids can't be drama-free. Well with all the drama this one family is causing the coaches decided that she shouldn't return and that her last game was LAST Wednesday. Sad part is the girl wasn't the one that caused this to happen, it was her parents.
