Never a Dull Moment...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My rundown week....

Well the soccer game was quite fun and to top it off we WON the game 2-1 :)
I even managed to play the first 12 minutes of the game WITHOUT dropping to the ground or injuring myself, so all around the night was good. We play a 48 minute game which means 24 minute halves. I guess overall I played about 30 minutes of the game.

Dylan started his indoor soccer season on Saturday afternoon and just seeing the size of the other players had me fuming. Let's just say once you get me fuming, there's NO stopping me. These kids WEREN'T under 6, they WERE a good foot taller than MOST of our kids and were obviously coached NOT to answer questions when asked. I kept asking this 4 1/2 foot and atleast 7 yr old boy how old he was and all he could do was shrug his shoulders like he wasn't allowed to answer or he didn't understand English. All the kids on our team are either in 4yr old preschool or are in Kindergarten and the other team was sporting a team of atleast 5-6 2nd graders - things were just NOT fair. We also found out that another team we will play was a U8 team last session and got their butt kicked every game and now they want to play in the U6 division since most of their girls aren't that good. We already know for a fact that this team has quite a few 2nd graders too since they go to our kids school. I guess NOBODY wants to lose a game and will even play kids 2-4 years younger to guarantee a win. That's pathetic in my opinion.

Steve and his brother are currnetly in the SUNSHINE State visiting his mother who is scheduled for open heart surgery tomorrow. As sad as this sounds, I don't think things are as bad as his sisters are making things out to be and they just wanted Steve and Brian to be there. I'm just waiting for the $$$ request that comes with EVERY visit to his family.

It seems a case of the sickies have made it's way through the house since Thursday. It started with Courtney, then Taylor and finally Dylan. Courtney definitely had the worst of it, she even had to go to the ER because she was having double vision and breathing problems. Luckily Aidan escaped it all.
