Never a Dull Moment...

Sports, sports and MORE sports....

What a hectic and busy weekend we've had. Between the unexpected St. Patty's Day trip to, you guessed it the ER and the non-stop Saturday and Sunday full of sports we've barely had anytime to relax.

Courtney had a total of 8 games between 8am Saturday morning and 3:30pm today and luckily Dylan only had 1 game. Just thinking about the practice schedule for Dylan and Courtney exhaust me. This is the worst time of year because both kids are playing 2 sports each. Dylan has baseball practices on Tuesday & Wednesday (games will either be on Monday, Tuesday or Wedneday and Saturday) and a soccer game on Saturday. We thought that soccer would be over in another week, but it seems that most of the players want Steve to do another session. They've been playing really well the last 2 weeks together. Courtney has lacrosse practices on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (all games will be on Saturdays) and soccer practices on Saturday afternoon and games on Sunday afternoons. Today she played on the NEW U9 team and things just were too slow paced for her and she moaned the whole ride home. The girls are NEW to the whole travel team concept and the game was like a swarm (sp?) of bees buzzing around. Nobody had the concept of passing the ball (which is understandable since this is there first year together) and many times Courtney was standing wide open and nobody knew what to do. Needless to say she won't be going back and will be playing on the U10 team she's been on for the last 18 months. They were hoping that playing on this U9 team would allow her to get tons of playing time (and she did, she played 45 of a 48 minute game), but she just wasn't into like she normally is. I felt bad for her and we knew something had to change.

Taylor will be continuing with her after-school activity for another 6 weeks. It seems the County funded it for the most part and the parents only have to pay $10 for the next 6 week session. A deal that we couldn't pass up.

And, Aidan definitely has a busy enough schedule every week with all his therapies and doctors appointment. I'm going to have to cancel tomorrow's since there's no way he can have an ultrasound done and the PT won't be able to come to the house either then, so maybe tomorrow I'll be able to relax some.
