Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 37 hours without sleep, who knew??? Who knew I could stasy up 37 hours straight without once falling asleep??? Well Thursday was the same as most Thursday's for us - stay home with the kids during the day, when Steve gets home we run errands, eat dinner and then we take the kids to soccer practice. All the above went as planned, it's when we got home everything changed. It seems that the calcium deposits that Aidan passed earlier in the day were now causing him alot of pain. I made the call to the Nephrologist and was told to take him into the ER right away. Now if the pain he was actually having was from calcium stones, but instead it was a NEW form of seizures that were starting. These seizures turn my loving 2 year old into a posessed demon for anywhere from 45 seconds to 4 minutes. We only lasted about 2 hours at our local ER before having to head south for Aidan to be seen by his Neuro team in DC. We arrived there at 3:30am. I arrived home about an hour ago(9pm)so that I could finally get some sleep and Steve's taking hospital duty for the first time ever. I've never left him before at the hospital and especially overnight, so even though I'm totally exhausted I'm finding it hard to fall asleep. Please keep my little guy in our prayers since he has alot going on with him right now. 10:15 pm - 08/11/2006 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
