Never a Dull Moment...

Final shot - yippee!!!

Well today was Aidan's LAST shot - yippee!!! He handled the 6 week treatment like a pro. Not one time did he ever shed a tear and for that I was happy. We've decided to hold off on any other meds since he only had the one breakthrough cluster of spasms and we believe it happened because of trying to wean his original med.

As this rollercoaster ride goes, when one thing is going good, something ALWAYS has to go bad. Last night and until 6am this morning I spent my time at the local ER with Aidan. It seems that he got whatever viral bug that's going around and since he wasn't drinking at all and wasn't able to fall asleep I took him in. They checked him for RSV (negative), Pneumonia (negative) and ran tons of bloodwork. It seems he has a slight infection, but nothing that shouldn't clear up in a few days.

Aidan got his 1st real haircut this evening. It's so weird to NOT see his curls all over his head. He actually almost looks like a 2 1/2 year old now.
We're not sure what's going on with his weight. Before starting the steroid treatment in September he weighed 27.5lbs and now 4 months later he's only 25.6lbs. Most kids gain tons of weight and my son is losing weight as we wean the med. Should of known that Aidan does NOTHING according to what MOST kids do.
