Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's definitely Christmas time.... You know it Christmas time in our household when you make a trip to the ER on Christmas Eve with a sick child. Last Sunday night I had Aidan in the ER because of a high fever, dehydration and constant crying. It seems that he has (as in still does) a viral infection and upper respiratory infection. Well everything seemed to be getting better until Friday when Aidan seemed miserable again. Now he has an ear infection. Does it ever get any better for this kid? Last week they gave him an antibiotic which he turned out to be allergic too, so they then gave him benedryl which in turn caused him to have his seizures again. And, now he was given Zithromax for his ear infection and it also causes him to have siezures. I definitely believe that his seizures get worse when he has too much sugar and all along I thought it was the carbs. Hopefully he gets well soon since I want to see how he does on his main seizure med BEFORE trying out the medicine that we have to order from outside the United States. I really need to get in touch with his Pediatrican since he was another pound lighter than what he was last Sunday. Him loosing weight is really starting to concern me. I wouldn't if he was mobile, but since he isn't and he's only been off ACTH for a week he really shouldn't be loosing weight like he is. And, to top off Aidan not feeling well I seem to have caught whatever he has. I have a slight fever, my throat fells like someone stabbed me with a knife and my head feels like it's going to explode. Well I gotta run, Aidan has just woke up crying and it looks like I'll have yet another sleepless night. 11:26 pm - 12/25/2006 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
