Never a Dull Moment... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Busy January so far.... It's definitely been a busy 2007 so far. Aidan is finally over the "bug" and ear infection that had him feeling crappy over the holidays and according to both his Nephrologist & the Cardiologist has saw today everything looked well. He has his follow-up EEG and NeuroGenetic appt next Friday. We'll find out then if the ACTH (steroid treatment) worked and when we'll start the new med. Thinking back over the last 2 years it's hard to believe how much my little guy has been through and how well he handles ALL of it. I couldn't imagine having to go through this with any of my other kids WITHOUT going insane myself. Sometime in the next month or so he'll be making yet another hospital stay for the muscle biopsy they want done, plus I want them to check his swallowing again since he's not wanting to drink thin liquid anymore. He'll drink sugar-free carnation instant breakfast because it's alittle thicker, but refuses the flavored water he once loved. I'm not sure there will ever be a day that Aidan doesn't have me or someone in the medical field asking questions or trying to figure something out. Onto a different topic, I've lost 6.5 pounds since the "Weightloss Challenge" started on January 2nd between my hubby & cousin. I could of probably lost more if I found the time to get my butt on the treadmill regularly. I did manage to make it to the Mall once this week and walk there 1 mile course (2 times), so I guess that's a start. The challenge goes on until Memorial Day, so I'm hoping that I'll loss another 33.5 pounds by then and after that goal is met I'll move onto my next one - another 25 pounds. Well that about sums up my January so far. Take Care :-) 8:07 pm - 01/19/2007 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
